Replacing/Upgrading Guitar Tuners

E-mail Print

Guitar Tuners play a major role in the tone and sustain of your guitar. If the tuners are loose, cheap, or old, they tend to have more vibration. The additional vibration absorbs the sustain of strings. Cheap or old tuners can also make it difficult to keep your guitar in tune. Typically, the best solution is to bear the additional cost to replace your tuners with Locking Tuners. For more information about the advantages of Locking Tuners, see our article, Locking vs. Non-Locking Tuners.

Locking Tuners or New Tuners can improve the playability of a guitar and the overall tone. To learn how to replace your tuners, checkout our article Installing New Tuners for step-by-step instructions.
