If you are ready to try something different with your guitar, Alternate Tunings create a multitude of new tones and possibilities. There are a couple of basic tunings listed within this article. Feel free to explore and look for additional tunings that you can experiment with.

EADGBE: This is the standard guitar tuning.

DADGBE: Commonly referred to as 'Drop-D', this Alternate tuning is one of the most commonly used.

DADGAD: This a great open tuning that sounds great all by itself.

DGDGBD: This tuning is a G chord and allows you to easily play all kinds of variations of fingerings in the key of G.
